FITSAT 1 (or Niwaka) is a 1U-Cubesat built by Fukuoka Institute of Technology (FIT). The mission is to demonstrate a high-speed transmission module for a small satellite and a visible light communication experiment by high power LEDs. FITSat 1 was launched on board of HTV 3 to the International Space Station, from where it was deployed on October 4th 2012.
