BRISAT (Bank Rakyat Indonesia Satellite) is an Indonesian communications geostationary satellite for banking purposes built by Space Systems/Loral for Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), located in a parking slot at 150.5 degrees east longitude. The 7,804-pound (3,540-kilogram) BRIsat satellite hosts 36 Ku-band and nine C-band transponders. The craft will expand secure banking communications to almost 60 million customers across the Indonesia archipelago, including locations where banking services were previously unavailable, according to BRI.
